On February
15th 2009 Anglican Church around the diocese of Brisbane will be
welcoming people to church, to make a connection.
Some
people become disconnected from God, from the Church and from their own
communities. Others have never had the opportunity to be part of a
church. We want to invite you all – to become connected.
You
will find information on this website about how we
plan to do this. You will also find a map
of Anglican churches in the
Brisbane diocese with which you can reconnect.
We’ve
missed you! Tell Bishop Jonathan
There are many reasons why people have
become disconnected from the
church.
Sometimes people have lost contact with the church and there is a story
that has not been shared or told. I would love to hear from you, to
know why you no longer go to church and whether there is something we
could do differently next time.
Your emails and letters will be kept confidential. I will
personally open and reply to emails sent to this address, or letters
posted to “Tell Bishop
Jonathan”. However Tell Bishop Jonathan
is not only for people who have left the church for some reason.
Perhaps there is something else you would like to tell me; I am ready
to listen.
I hope your stories will help us
to make better connections with you on Connect to Church Sunday and
beyond.
"Connect
to Church Sunday
is an integral part of our 150th Year Celebrations. We want to
celebrate
with as many people as we can." Bishop Jonathan Holland
